Neighborhood Dental
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use and share it, and your choices, including about text messages.
This policy applies to Harmon and Otteson Dental LLC (dba Neighborhood Dental) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). As a HIPAA-covered dental practice, we also protect identifiable health information we receive or keep as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is available at our office. If this policy and that notice differ for health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.
Information We Collect
- Appointment requests: when you fill out the appointment-request form on this website, your name, mobile phone number, email address if you give one, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
- Advertising lead forms: if you answer one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram with a Meta lead form, the details you enter in that form, such as your name and phone number. Meta collects the form for us and passes it to us. Meta’s own privacy policy governs what Meta does with your information.
- Ad visit measurement: if you reach this website through a link in one of our ads, the website notes which ad you came from (a code in the link), whether you started or completed an online booking, your device type (phone, tablet, or computer), and the page language. It links these to a random code created for that browser tab, which our database provider stores only in scrambled (hashed) form. We use this only to count how well our ads work. It does not include your name, contact details, or appointment details, and we do not send it to Meta or any other advertiser.
- Calls, emails, and visits: information you give us when you contact us or come to our office.
- Technical information: our web host receives standard technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, as with any website.
What We Do Not Do
We do not use the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or similar third-party tracking tools on this website. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to respond to your appointment request; to schedule, confirm, and manage appointments; to answer your questions; to provide dental care and handle billing, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices; to keep this website secure and prevent abuse; and to meet legal requirements.
Text Messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile opt-in information and SMS/text-messaging consent are NOT shared, sold, rented, or otherwise disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
If you agree to receive text messages, for example by checking the text-message box on our appointment-request form, we may text you about scheduling the appointment you requested, answering your scheduling questions, and confirming your booking. These texts are sent through a messaging service provider. Agreeing to receive texts is optional and is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving care. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms & Conditions for details.

- Our practice management system, which holds appointment and patient records.
- Our website host, which runs this website and receives appointment-request form submissions for us.

Your Health Information

How Long We Keep Information
We keep dental records for as long as the law requires, and other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
