Cosmetic Care

From whitening to veneers, we match the treatment to what you want to change.

Why consider cosmetic dentistry?

Cosmetic care is about fixing what bothers you: a chip, a stain or a gap you've felt self-conscious about.

Teeth stain, chip and wear down over time. Cosmetic treatment fixes that, and we match it to your other teeth so the result looks like your own smile.

Our Cosmetic Treatments

Options for a small fix or a bigger change, depending on what you need.

Professional Teeth Whitening

Professional whitening lifts stains from coffee, tea, wine and age that store-bought strips don't reach, and can brighten your smile by several shades.

Targets coffee, tea and wine stains

We check your teeth and gums first

Porcelain Veneers

Thin, custom-made porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They can cover chips, cracks, discoloration and minor crookedness. Porcelain resists stains and reflects light much like natural enamel.

Changes shape, size and color at once

Durable and stain-resistant

Matched to your face and your other teeth

Tooth-Colored Fillings

We repair cavities with tooth-colored composite fillings instead of dark metal. The filling is shaded to match your tooth, so it blends in with your natural teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does professional teeth whitening last?

It depends on what you eat and drink. Results typically last from 6 months to 2 years. Cutting back on dark foods and drinks like coffee, red wine and berries, and brushing and flossing well, helps them last longer.

Are porcelain veneers permanent?

Yes, in the sense that a thin layer of enamel is removed to fit them, so the tooth will always need a covering. Veneers themselves typically last 10 to 15 years or more with good care, then need replacing.

Will my cosmetic dental work look natural?

That's the goal. We choose the shade, shape and translucency of the porcelain or resin so the new work blends in with your other teeth and suits your face.

What is the difference between veneers and crowns?

A veneer is a thin porcelain shell that covers only the front of a tooth. It's mainly used to change how a healthy tooth looks. A crown covers the whole tooth and is used to protect a tooth that's damaged, cracked or heavily filled. We'll tell you which one fits your tooth.

Does cosmetic dentistry hurt?

Most cosmetic treatments cause little or no discomfort. Whitening needs no numbing at all. For veneers, we numb the area so you're comfortable while we prepare the teeth.
